Tarsiger cyanurus--Red-flanked Bluetail 藍尾鴝
This year, I find that the bluetail can perform the negative acceleration as it was landing (descending) on the tree.It seems that this has some hovering capability.
As we know , only honey bird and some kingfisher can perform hovering.
Acc. to the new study ,some small birds also can apply the LEV ( leading edge vortex) to create the extra lift and perform the hovering during short periond.
During this period , it apply LEV to get the extra ligt and the ring vortex flight mode (it may induce larger drag) which is working as the descending damper.
"Stop descending and forward flight during very short period " that seems like hovering during short period
